The Banker

They pretended to be customers. How do I know this? I have been in the banking business long enough to know who is going to rob me. Candidate number one, the most ovious one is the man in the corner in an over coat. Hair messy and unkept, shows the signs of bad hygiene and possible poverty. Hands in pockets the entire time he has entered the bank and just by looking at him I know he is afraid of letting go of the gun in his pocket.

Candidate number two, a women with an enormous purse not letting it hang on her shoulder but carrying it by its handle. Not a woman from a rough part of town but rather from the upper-middle class region of the city. I think she is here more for revenge than to making off with the money from the safes. Especially, when she was already mad at the world when she entered.

Now here is something you don't see everyday, a full blow criminal. I didn't recognize who he was at first but I know who he is. Rocky Malone is the man's name, it's hard not remember him; he shot me in the leg my first day on the job. There is no doubt about it, there on his face is the scar I left him; my car keys cut him from his left eyebrow down to his chin. The police arrived right when I left him his parting gift and they drug him out of the bank.

Knowing the damage that man could do, I pressed the silent alarm button to notify the police. Then I left my booth and I approached the man in the corner. As I approached the man in the corner he tried to escaped but I threw my old, wrinkled hand to the wall blocking him. I asked him if he needed any help. The man quickly turned my assistance down. I told him to sit down. He reluctantly obeyed and sat at one of the benches

The man tried to get back up and I told him I wasn't going to notify the police. The man quietly sat back down. I asked him why was he planning to rob this bank. He told me he was doing it for his daughter who was in dire need of a kidney operation and said that this was the only way. I asked him how much and he responded with a hundred thousand dollars and he had thirty thousand already. I pulled a check book out of my pocket and asked for his name and wrote a check for a hundred thousand dollars. Then the man vigorously shook my hand and thanked me for my generosity. However before i handed him the check told him not to ever to attempt a robbery again and I told him of the consequences it would have on his family. He promised and he also said he would use the extra money for her college fund and left the bank.

I was old, I didn't care how much money I spent. My children are already working adults and it was just paper to me. Now I walked over to the woman and gave her a proper greeting. The woman just turned me down and was staring intensely at one of my male bank attendants. I ask her if she knew anyone working here. She quickly snapped at me to go away and leave her allow. Then I attempted to guess what she was about to do. As always I hit it right on the mark and she begins to freak out and I told her not to worry and I wasn't going to say anything. She stopped but was still high strung. I asked what he did to her and she told me that he was cheating on her for a younger woman. I respectfully told her that I was firing him anyways because I had seen him pocket money from the registers. The woman becomes excited and begins to jump up and down and she gives me a suffocating hug and thanks me for inflicting revenge on him for her. I told her to leave him if he isn't going to keep his promise to her when they were married. She nodded her head and left.

I walked over to cheating husband and I told him that he was being fired for stealing from the bank. He tries to argue that he didn't do it. I told him that if he didn't leave right now I would get the courts involved and I told him that what he was doing was a federal crime and could go to person for life. The man threw his name tag into his booth and he stormed off. He runs into Rocky and begins to get into a verbal fight. I knew this wasn't going to be good. So I pushed myself in between the man and Rocky.

Rocky quickly figured out it was me and he pulls his gun out just has the police were sneaking up from behind him. The man ran off in a sprint through the lobby and out the doors. Just when got a hold of him, he shot a round from the gun. Everyone in the store cringes at the gunshot. Rocky is pinned down and handcuffed and drug off.. Then all of a sudden my vision begins to blur and I collapse to the ground. I hear people run all around me yelling that I have been shot. They try to stop the bleeding but it was already to late. I had already passed from this life with grin on my face because I knew that now that no one else got hurt so I died with no regrets to follow me to the grave.

Reminisce

Times gone by
on the clock
waiting for the master
to run dry
Calling out the enjoyments
 of the past
The suffering of the present
and fearing the worlds
of tomorrow
but always playing the
track in a loop
that sends us to a void
of limited perspective

Hormones

Diminutive correlated with estrogen
But I found her eight times
counted by the backwards hour
on the field of play
assuming the fall to
Darkening light
stirs the monster
of green.

Masks

It lends itself more time
and relishes the moment
Blending peace and work
Caressing the already
taken face of pleasure
and the era of sorrow
And grief soon follows billing
the bearer to their hearts
Emotion wildly running a muck
joined together with
Song, Dance, and Voice.

Dilemma

Slowly the senses reforge their stability and structure. as my eyes regained its focus I could only see a television set. The static emanating from it began to irritate my brain in my drunken like state. I reach for my head but my limbs are restrained by metal bars and cuffs in an asylum bed.

I start screaming for someone to release me from my captivity. For what had seemed like hours no one came and i began to discouraged by the maddening white walls that surrounded me. Then I heard a doorknob  turning and I start screaming for help. Then I heard the door open and then close. The sound of his slowly moving foot steps echoed, and echoed throughout my entire body. I turned y head to see if it was my savior or my captor. It was a man wearing a white lab coat that blended with those same maddening walls and he had the stench of medicine and death surrounding him. It was also a challenge to see his eyes though his glasses and the shine of the operating light.

"Don't worry Alice , I will cure you of your humanity soon," The man spoke in a disturbing tone. Now knowing he was my captor, I began to throw my head around in fear. The man pushed my head back down and pushed two metal plates onto my temples and now all i can see is the television. "Just sit back, relax, and be ready to be enlightened," the man said as he closed off all sight of the walls with light blue circular medical curtain. then I heard the door open and the lights went black and the only thing visible now was the static on the screen.

Then images appeared on the screen; World War I and II, 911, terrorist treat videos, Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler and his Nazis, holocaust images, and  images of horror movies. They began  to repeat over and over always repeating  faster and faster after every loop. Closing my eyes just made it worst. Images of me killing my sisters, my mother , my father, and everyone I know with grin of glee across my face. Am I going to KILL (stay) like this forever? Never to KILL (see) my family again?  Just KILLING ( sitting) here and KILLING (doing) nothing. Slowly, KILLING (turning) into a KILLING monster. I KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL!

Filthy Rich

If you saw me,you would never guess I was a multi-billionaire under the tattered clothes  and the shaggy beard. I'm participating in one of those undercover millionaire projects to see how life is without the luxuries of life for a week. So far I'm on day three of the project and I haven't been so hungry in my life. I also desperately wanted to take a shower to get rid of the dirt and grime that has been accumulating on my body. I became so bad I took a bath in the city park. I went during the middle of the night to avoid the police because another group of hobos tried doing that in the daytime and were hauled away. I couldn't afford to get into any trouble while I still have nothing. However I never thought it would be so risky to have good personal hygiene as a hobo.

Five days since I left my beloved home in Bel-Air. I am almost done but I can't stand the constant hunger pains that bellow from my stomach. During the lunch rush at the diner, I saw a waitress drop a large amount of food and I almost instinctively grabbed for it but I resisted. This desperation for food became really out of hand when I had gotten into a fist fight with another hobo over a piece of meat that would be enough for a snack. Afterwards I felt ashamed for what I had done and gave the meat to the other hobo I am really afraid  that these will carry on with me when I leave the streets of L.A. and return to my home.

At last my week is over I can go back to my life of stability and abandon the life of being homeless. My time as a homeless human being gave a new perspective on life that changed me forever never again. I now own about 100 different homeless centers and soup kitchens in the nation. After seeing their lives with my own eyes I don't want to see that life for anyone so I'm prepared to use anything in my power to improve their lives as possible. I am also not going to take life for granted again like I was before my trip to reality.

Balloons

A novice daredevil trying to draw a crowd with his spectacular stunt. People begin to flock around him. The people are impressed at the spectacle. There's a problem he can't get down. The people below don't realize that he is in trouble. He screams and yells for help with all his might but he is too high for anyone to hear him. One by one the crowd began to disperse. The more time passes on, the more a terrible realization came to his head.

No one is coming to help me. I'm really going to die up here . Then he realizes that he won't be able to see his girlfriend again. He would never be able  tell her how he really felt about her. He would never be able to ask for her marry him.

He thought the inevitable was to come. So, he prepared for his descent away from his perch. Then the next thing he feels wind rush through his hair and then he falls asleep. When he wakes up he doesn't feel anything. He looks and a black figure is in front of him with a reached out hand.
